Inspired by Claude Monet's garden and Georgia O'Keeffe's attention to the details of flowers, I preserved parts of my family's garden and bouquets we received to share the beauty of individual flower petals. When a flower dies, it takes on a new form of beauty that deserves to be appreciated and not discarded.
Every so often, my parents bring home flowers to brighten up our space and lift up our spirits. These petals were part of a bouquet that they purchased. I love that my parents do not reserve flowers for "special occasions", instead create "regular days" to be different.
