Inspired by Claude Monet's garden and Georgia O'Keeffe's attention to the details of flowers, I preserved parts of my family's garden and bouquets we received to share the beauty of individual flower petals. When a flower dies, it takes on a new form of beauty that deserves to be appreciated and not discarded.
Every late spring/early summer season, peonies are the first to bloom in our garden. My mom cuts and puts them in a vase of water once they have fully opened for everyone to admire in our kitchen as well. Cut peonies last six to 10 days; however, these petals in resin will last a lifetime!
